According to the latest data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), there are more than 3.5 million Americans living with an autism spectrum disorder with the most recent data showing that 1 in 68 children ( 1 in 42 boys and 1 and 189 girls) are identified as having autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that more than 700 million cases of mental and neurological disorders are reported each year worldwide, causing human suffering and substantial social, employment, and economic challenges. According to their most recent study, 25% of individuals, develop one or more mental or neurological disorders at some point in their life.
